Everything But Personal

Isaiah 63:9 "In all their suffering he also suffered, and he PERSONALLY rescued them. In his LOVE and MERCY he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through ALL the years.

The thing I imagine over the word "personally" on this verse is during the creation. When God personally hand-crafted man, took some dust and molded man in His image. The creation story was personal from the very start. Try to take a review on this in Genesis. From the 1st to the 5th day everything was created by word. But on the 6th day when He creates man, He personally went low and took dust on his palm and breathed to it (Gen. 2:7). How personal is that?

Going back to Isaiah, let's try to change the word "their" to "our" and article "them" to "us".

"In all OUR suffering he also suffered, and he PERSONALLY rescued US. In his LOVE and MERCY he redeemed US. He lifted US up and carried US through ALL the years." (revised version)

He personally came to the earth- let his feet touch this useless ground to save humankind from slavery of sin. He knew the pain he'd go through but chose to not complain. Therefore, we (dust/ground/ soil) are useless and had no sense at all. But Jesus with all of His love and mercy, descended from glory to lift and carry us up through the years of suffering and hardship.

You matter to Him... He's interested in every detail of you... Why wouldn't he when he created you personally?
